Yes, if you use tap water, we recommend descaling the device

once a month. This prevents lime buildup and reduces steam power. If you use

demineralized water, descaling is not necessary. Always empty the water tank after each use to prevent lime deposits.

Descaling instructions:

1. Fill the tank halfway with clean tap water.
2. Add an equal amount of cleaning vinegar or a special descaling agent for steam devices.
3. Let the device steam until the tank is empty. (Do not aim at surfaces, but steam into the sink or outside.)
4. Then fill the tank completely with clean water and let it steam briefly again to rinse away the residue.
5. Dry the device and store it without water in the tank.
